        Requirements:

        • Support the sales process during all its life cycle.

        Position Overview

        This position contains a large element of developing new vertical markets and customer segments which is done by understanding client needs and developing solutions to cater to these needs. To maximize output, it will be important to work closely with the internal product/ Program Management team that will provide sales engineering solutions, opportunity research, marketing support, and product and solutions strategy. The position will require extensive travel within the region to work with existing partners, distributors as well as establish new market customers and new channels where need be.         Professional Services Technical Specialist

        We are currently looking for a Professional Services Technical Specialist to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting support to our Hub Customers, integration and testing of our hub products, and validation support for new products and features.

        Responsibilities

        • Customer Support Staff is responsible for all aspects of the customer support from the time that a hub is accepted by the customer and while a valid maintenance contract is in place.
        • Prompt response to customer service calls, performing a diagnostic review of the problem and providing intervention.
        • The support activity will require shift work in order to support customer on a 24/7 basis and since the customer population is worldwide. When necessary, travel will be required to support customers in person. The travel will be worldwide.
        • For major problems the intervention is to be provided on an emergency basis. For system upgrades of software firmware loads or reconfigurations of the equipment, appointments will be made with the customer. The customer support person will also periodically contact customers to ascertain the proper functioning of the hub and understand any difficulties or suggestions that are provided.
        • Maintain a database of service calls and responses, provide written reports on major issues, and update the Problem Report (PR) database for problems that need to be referred to engineering for corrective action.
        • Maintain current knowledge of the deployed systems and as required receive training in order to stay current with product.
        • Interact with the customers to assess if they need upgrades to their hubs and help identify the possible upgrades working the Product group.
        • Lead numerous commercial projects related to the SpeceBridge VSAT product line.
        • Provide the system level design for each specific project. Once the system has been built and preconfigured to spec, the incumbent will then be responsible for the completion of the overall system configuration (to customer frequency plan), debug any system problems and complete the Factory Acceptance Testing.
        • Lead the field integration and checkout testing of each system at the customer’s site.
        • Act as a front line sales person on the customer’s site during the field installation. While on site, both classroom and hands on training would be provided to customer.

        • Manage medium and large contract execution from inception to dissipation including deliverables for multiple accounts in various market segments while ensuring customer satisfaction, program profitability, and revenue growth.
        • Conduct regular status reviews with SpaceBridge senior management and customers to ensure successful implementation and timely resolution of any issues related to bids and proposals and projects implementation and delivery.
        • Manage the business relationship with customers with a monthly business reviews while seeking out new opportunities for growth of the business through discovery of new business opportunities based on customer needs.
        • Defining, implementing, and continually optimizing expectations, standards, templates, and processes for the team
        • Owning overall usage and adherence of designated project management tools
        • Mentor the team in the creation of all proposals, RFP’s and RFI projects artifacts, including sizing, link budget solution design, BoM, execution project plans, statements of work, status reports, etc. Regularly assessing and communicating portfolio and project health – including scope management, resourcing, schedule and budget.
        • Effectively managing risks, escalation and conflict negotiation across the portfolio
        • Rolling up sleeves where needed to successfully recover RFP compliance, submission or projects in crisis
        • Drive a cross functional teams towards extraordinary product deliveries
        • Direct all peer support groups to successfully deploy and maintain the company accounts, foresee and resolve any challenges for timely delivery of contracted projects or services.
        • Escalate issues in a timely manner and seek resolution through cooperation of peer groups.
        • Monitor the status of all active programs to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. This may include performing the liaison function on difficult program issues between the company, the customers, and third party when applicable.
        • Familiar with contract structures and contract negotiation, forecasting, sales and marking support are key requirements for the position
        • Accountable for program budgets, cost control, profit margin. Continuous Improvement initiatives to be managed to improve quality, customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and improve profitability.
        • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure quarterly and annual success to goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
        • Be comfortable and familiar with (multi nation) international business practices which includes being sensitive to the various cultures and/or customs of a large international customer base that the company interfaces with daily.

         

        SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

        • Bachelor of Science degree required (Computer SW/ Industrial Engineering/E.E )
        • 7 or more years of Satellite communication / telecom industry experience
        • 7 or more years of experience in Program Management replying to RFP’s/ proposals and quotes of complex satellite networking to a broad spectrum of enterprise, MNO’s, Government and defense customers
        • 5 or more years of experience in managing direct reports
        • Must be able to train managers to be effective leaders.
        • In-depth knowledge of program management and relationships between departments within a design to build and manufacturing environment
        • Capable of working independently & Managing many fast-moving programs simultaneously
        • Understanding of satellite broadband technologies
        • Skilled in Program/Project Management techniques (PMBOK Qualified)
        • Experienced in Industry Best Practices for process improvement
        • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
        • Excellent communication and presentation skills
        • Have excellent negotiating skills and be comfortable in an adversarial business environment during contract negotiations.
        • Good working knowledge of the standard suite of office software products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
        • Willing to travel to meet customers as much as needed.

        Marketing Manager

        We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager. The chosen incumbent will implement strategic and tactical communication plans designed to capitalize on the market opportunities and generate demand.

        RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Work closely with the management team to generate creative, multi-channel marketing automation campaigns that will build brand awareness and generate qualified sales leads.
        • Work closely with the management team to build Customer Relationship Management processes.
        • Management of tradeshows and events, logistics, booth, product display, shipping, and presentations;
        • Lead the creation and updating of all marketing collateral, company website (SEO/SEM/PPC) and sales support tools.
        • Development of ad campaigns for print and web; Recommend and source new areas for advertising and media placement;
        • Work with Product Managers and Sales Team to produce and execute PR and social media campaigns;
        • Execute integrated online/offline marketing campaigns, advertising, PR, manage contact with media and industry associations, tradeshows and other campaigns to generate demand.

        • Managing marketing literature library. Inventory management of marketing material and supplies, maintain sufficient stock of marketing materials; Establishing and maintaining rapport with external printers and suppliers, getting quotes and ordering printed Marketing Material.
        • Manage the design, creation and maintenance of Product Brochures, Advertisements, Posters and Newsletters, Web banners, animations, corporate and product presentations & videos;
        • Establish marketing budget and operate within its restraints.

         

        SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

        • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, MBA preferred
        • Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing position with experience in the International Market;
        • Previous experience in a similar role in Satellite Communications is preferred
        • Strong knowledge of the market and its players, knowledge of customer needs and product placement
        • Strong knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices
        • Excellent verbal and written communication (technical writing)
        • Expert Web user; advanced user of MS Office Suite
        • Strong command of English, spoken and written; additional languages an asset.
