        We are currently looking for a Planner and Inside sales representative to join our team in Montreal, QC. While reporting to the Manager of Operations, the incumbent will coordinate and expedite the flow of orders, work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule and customers’ expectation. This position will work in close partnership with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Procurement.

        • Enter new order and PO into the MRP system.
        • Provide follow up to customer requests.
        • Release work orders to production for new customer orders, forecast or engineering demand.
        • Plan and schedule workflow for operation according to production master schedule.
        • Monitor forecast / master plan / delivery, production schedule and yield.
        • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
        • Check shortages and expedite with purchasing
        • Follow-up on status of any kits released to production or in stock.
        • Analyze MRP reports and follow up with purchasing on any long lead time items
        • Maintain system, complete work orders whenever necessary

        • Implement ECO for WIP and stock on hand inventory when required.
        • Provide all necessary support to production and stockroom team.
        • Coordinate material flow in production for released projects.
        • Create daily shipping list and transfer modems to shipping
        • Update Open Customer Orders file with weeks of delivery
        • Coordinate WIP physical inventory count during annual PI
        • Escalate problematic issues to support the client as required.
        • Provide attention to detail and adaptability, along with time management skills.
        • Provide valuable input at internal shipping review meetings to meet monthly invoicing target.

         

        • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or relevant

        Professional Services Technical Specialist

        We are currently looking for a Professional Services Technical Specialist to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting support to our Hub Customers, integration and testing of our hub products, and validation support for new products and features.

        Responsibilities

        • Customer Support Staff is responsible for all aspects of the customer support from the time that a hub is accepted by the customer and while a valid maintenance contract is in place.
        • Prompt response to customer service calls, performing a diagnostic review of the problem and providing intervention.
        • The support activity will require shift work in order to support customer on a 24/7 basis and since the customer population is worldwide. When necessary, travel will be required to support customers in person. The travel will be worldwide.
        • For major problems the intervention is to be provided on an emergency basis. For system upgrades of software firmware loads or reconfigurations of the equipment, appointments will be made with the customer. The customer support person will also periodically contact customers to ascertain the proper functioning of the hub and understand any difficulties or suggestions that are provided.
        • Maintain a database of service calls and responses, provide written reports on major issues, and update the Problem Report (PR) database for problems that need to be referred to engineering for corrective action.
        • Maintain current knowledge of the deployed systems and as required receive training in order to stay current with product.
        • Interact with the customers to assess if they need upgrades to their hubs and help identify the possible upgrades working the Product group.
        • Lead numerous commercial projects related to the SpeceBridge VSAT product line.
        • Provide the system level design for each specific project. Once the system has been built and preconfigured to spec, the incumbent will then be responsible for the completion of the overall system configuration (to customer frequency plan), debug any system problems and complete the Factory Acceptance Testing.
        • Lead the field integration and checkout testing of each system at the customer’s site.
        • Act as a front line sales person on the customer’s site during the field installation. While on site, both classroom and hands on training would be provided to customer.

         

        Skills And Qualifications

        • Bachelor Degree or equivalent (preferably in Engineering)
        • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
        • Availability to travel worldwide

        POSITION OVERVIEW

         This position contains a large element of developing new vertical markets and customer segments which is achieved by understanding client’s needs and developing solutions to cater to these.

        To maximize output, it will be important to work closely with the internal Product/ Program Management team which will provide sales engineering solutions, research opportunities, marketing support and product and solutions strategies. The position will also require extensive travelling within the region to work with existing partners, distributors as well as to establish new market customers and new channels where the need exists. Lastly, setting up, supporting and driving new customers and channel partners will be a key element to success.

        RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Identify, address and develop new opportunities for sales in a geographic region.
        • Understand customer requirements in targeted vertical markets.

        • Provide architecture, design and specification for NMS for High throughput satellite systems (HTS), with focus on Mobility, Advanced OSS/BSS, ISP customers, Cellular backhauling, Consumer Market HTS systems and corporate specific communication requirements.
        • Perform R&D tasks to improve his/her capabilities in a real environment and understanding about the system, and to improve the system and to provide accurate feedback to developers at the same time.
        • Be familiar with R&D concepts and capable of working with test tools and in the lab environment.

        SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

        Knowledge and experience:

        • UX/UI and core design for Network Management systems, Network Configuration Systems, OSS/BSS (Including Billing and accounting), CRM etc.
        • Database design and architecture.
        • Northbound interfaces, SOAP, REST etc.
        • Netconf, Elastic search, Logstash, Syslog.
        • Virtual Private Networks (VNOs)
        • Maps, Graphs, Statistics
        • Close familiarity with the satellite communication systems. Knowledge of DVB-RCS/RCS2, Java Server applications in Open Source framework
        • Working in telecommunication lab with test equipment
        • DVB-S2/S2X standards is an asset.
        • Familiarity with Cellular backhauling. Knowledge of the other types of wireless technologies is an asset.
        • Familiarity with various IP networking aspects (network/transport protocols, performance enhancement protocols [PEP], Quality of Service [QoS], etc) – an advantage
        • Familiarity with complex IP network infrastructure – an advantage

        Systems Design Engineer – Network

        We are currently seeking a Systems Design Engineer, Majoring in Networking, IP, Packet processing and Security concepts. The incumbent shall have the detailed knowledge about satellite baseband system, with focus on Networking, IP (layer 3) and Security, and shall be able to picturize the logical correlation between different hardware/Software layers and functions.

         

        RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Improvise the system by creative designs, research and integration activities
        • Provide networking architecture, design and specification for new features as well as new systems such as HTS, with focus on Cellular backhauling, Consumer Market HTS systems and corporate specific communication requirements.
