        Regional Director of Sales – Europe

        SpaceBridge Inc. is currently seeking a dynamic sales hunter to fill the position of Regional Director of Sales – Europe.  The Regional Director of Sales has primary responsibility to build a sustainable and ever growing level of business, driving sales in a designated regional territory for our state of the art Broadband Satellite Networks product lines including  VSAT Satellite Networks, VSAT Modems for various verticals,  satellite modems (SCPC,MCPC, DVBS2X),and the associated services

         

        Position Overview

        This position contains a large element of developing new vertical markets and customer segments which is done by understanding client needs and developing solutions to cater to these needs. To maximize output, it will be important to work closely with the internal product/ Program Management team that will provide sales engineering solutions, opportunity research, marketing support, and product and solutions strategy. The position will require extensive travel within the region to work with existing partners, distributors as well as establish new market customers and new channels where need be. Setting up, supporting and driving new customers and channel partners will be a key element to success.

        RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Identify, address and develop new opportunities for sales in a geographic region.
        • Understand customer requirements in targeted vertical markets.
        • Maintains responsibility for maintaining long term relationship with SpaceBridge’ Key Accounts and maximizing sales opportunities
        • Be able to generate and develop turn-key solutions opportunities for these customers.
        • Support and develop existing sales channels in combination with developing new business or alternative market channels where need be.
        • Develop & strengthen market share, revenue, and sales growth within assigned geography.
        • Maintain profound forecast and pipeline
        • Achieve sales goals while maintaining overall company objectives such as profit margin and forecast accuracy objectives (annually and quarterly).
        • Monitor competitive activity and provide feedback to management.
        • Travel Requirements: Minimum of 50% international travels.

         

        SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

        • Bachelor in Science Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, Master in Business, Marketing or Engineering.
        • Previous sales experience is preferred +7 years in the designated territory as a minimum
        • Proven ability in sales and business development in the telecommunications industry
        • Familiarity with Broadband Satellite Networks /Service Providers- ISP / Telco’s and MNO’s carriers – experience and relationship is a definite plus
        • Previous experience selling to cellular GSM operators is a definite plus.
        • A familiarity with LAN/WAN architecture, mobile carriers architecture and networking devices is a definite plus
        • Knowledge and experience in Business Development
        • Track record of selling communication solutions
        • Ability to demonstrate Satellite communication Innovation unique value proposition at various levels within an organization for commercial and government and defense customers

        Satellite Data Transmission Engineer

        We are currently looking for a Satellite Data Transmission Engineer to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting support to our Hub Customers, integration and testing of our hub products, and validation support for new products and features.

        Requirements:

        • Customer Support Staff is responsible for all aspects of the customer support from the time that a hub is accepted by the customer and while a valid maintenance contract is in place.
        • Lead the field integration and checkout testing of each system at the customer’s site.
        • Act as a front line sales person on the customer’s site during the field installation. While on site, both classroom and hands on training would be provided to customer
        • For major problems the intervention is to be provided on an emergency basis. For system upgrades of software firmware loads or reconfigurations of the equipment, appointments will be made with the customer. The customer support person will also periodically contact customers to ascertain the proper functioning of the hub and understand any difficulties or suggestions that are provided.
        • Prompt response to customer service calls, performing a diagnostic review of the problem and providing intervention.
        • Maintain a database of service calls and responses, provide written reports on major issues, and update the Problem Report (PR) database for problems that need to be referred to engineering for corrective action.
        • Maintain current knowledge of the deployed systems and as required receive training in order to stay current with product.
        • Interact with the customers to assess if they need upgrades to their hubs and help identify the possible upgrades working the Product group.
        • Provide the system level design for each specific project. Once the system has been built and preconfigured to spec, the incumbent will then be responsible for the completion of the overall system configuration (to customer frequency plan), debug any system problems and complete the Factory Acceptance Testing.

          • Overall Technical Description.

          • Rack Elevation.
          • Equipment description.

        • Prepare commercial proposals including, but not limited to:

          • Bill of Material
          • Price and Commercial Proposal.
        • Provide to the sales force adequate technical information and training to help them in their sales activities.
        • Communicate all relevant information to the PMO group once a proposal has been materialized.

         

        Advantages:

        • Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering
        • Minimum of 5 years of bid/proposal experience.
        • Good comprehension of VSAT systems and VSAT market is highly preferred
        • Must be resourceful and adapt rapidly to the market and product evolution.

        Professional Services Technical Specialist

        We are currently looking for a Professional Services Technical Specialist to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting support to our Hub Customers, integration and testing of our hub products, and validation support for new products and features.

        Responsibilities

        • Customer Support Staff is responsible for all aspects of the customer support from the time that a hub is accepted by the customer and while a valid maintenance contract is in place.
        • Prompt response to customer service calls, performing a diagnostic review of the problem and providing intervention.
        • The support activity will require shift work in order to support customer on a 24/7 basis and since the customer population is worldwide. When necessary, travel will be required to support customers in person. The travel will be worldwide.
        • For major problems the intervention is to be provided on an emergency basis. For system upgrades of software firmware loads or reconfigurations of the equipment, appointments will be made with the customer. The customer support person will also periodically contact customers to ascertain the proper functioning of the hub and understand any difficulties or suggestions that are provided.
        • Maintain a database of service calls and responses, provide written reports on major issues, and update the Problem Report (PR) database for problems that need to be referred to engineering for corrective action.
        • Maintain current knowledge of the deployed systems and as required receive training in order to stay current with product.
        • Interact with the customers to assess if they need upgrades to their hubs and help identify the possible upgrades working the Product group.
        • Lead numerous commercial projects related to the SpeceBridge VSAT product line.
        • Provide the system level design for each specific project. Once the system has been built and preconfigured to spec, the incumbent will then be responsible for the completion of the overall system configuration (to customer frequency plan), debug any system problems and complete the Factory Acceptance Testing.
        • Lead the field integration and checkout testing of each system at the customer’s site.
        • Act as a front line sales person on the customer’s site during the field installation. While on site, both classroom and hands on training would be provided to customer.

         

        Skills And Qualifications

        • Bachelor Degree or equivalent (preferably in Engineering)
        • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
        • Availability to travel worldwide
        • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
        • Knowledge of satellite communications is an asset
