The chosen candidate should be located in Ottawa or Montreal region.  The Regional Director of Sales has the primary responsibility to build a sustainable and ever growing level of business, as well as to drive sales in a designated regional territory for our state of the art Broadband Satellite Networks product lines including VSAT Satellite Networks, VSAT Modems for various verticals, satellite modems (SCPC, MCPC, DVBS2X), and to fulfill other associated services.

        POSITION OVERVIEW

         This position contains a large element of developing new vertical markets and customer segments which is achieved by understanding client’s needs and developing solutions to cater to these.

        To maximize output, it will be important to work closely with the internal Product/ Program Management team which will provide sales engineering solutions, research opportunities, marketing support and product and solutions strategies. The position will also require extensive travelling within the region to work with existing partners, distributors as well as to establish new market customers and new channels where the need exists. Lastly, setting up, supporting and driving new customers and channel partners will be a key element to success.

        RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Identify, address and develop new opportunities for sales in Canadian Department of Defense (DoD) and other corps which may be assigned
        • Build long-term relationships and engage on engineering and product supplies contract with Government and Defense entities and maximizing sales opportunities
        • Understand customer requirements in targeted vertical markets.
        • Maintain long-term relationships with SpaceBridge’s Key Accounts and maximize sales opportunities.
        • Generate and develop turn-key solutions opportunities for these customers.
        • Support and develop existing sales channels in combination with developing new business or alternative market channels where need be.
        • Develop & strengthen market share, revenue, and sales growth within assigned geography and Canadian Department of Defense (DoD) and other corps.

        Objectives

        • Implement an appropriate product costing system to ensure that the profitability of each product and product line is adequately monitored.

        A Systems Design Engineer, majoring in  Networking and CBH, who will join a new “Startup like” effort in a cutting edge emerging technology and be part of a multi-national team of highly qualified, dedicated individuals focusing on developing a technology that will become a game changer in satellite communication networks.

        An R&D system engineer shall be capable of doing research and provide architecture, design and specification for new features as well as new systems such as Multiple CBH Scenarios, MethroEthernet Backhauling, Performance Enhancement and QoS, Mobility, MEC, SDN, VNF on HTS and LEO satellites. Willing to work in Lab environment as well as having passion of being innovative and creative are two major factors to success.

        Knowledge and Experience:

        • Proficiency in Network Fundamentals, Routing, Switching, MetroEthernet (MEF3.0), SDN, Cisco equipment (various classes)
        • Proficiency in Cellular backhauling concepts/design/implementation. Knowledge of the other types of wireless technologies is an asset.
        • Close Familiarity with concepts such as AI, IoT, VANET, MEC, NFV, Cloud Computing, machine Learning, Virtualization, Digitization …

        Contract Administrator

        SpaceBridge Inc, is currently looking for a Contract Administrator/Specialist to support the Legal Department in its Corporate, Secretarial and Commercial functions. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for both pre-contractual and post-contractual phases of commercial contracts (i.e. preparation, drafting, and administration) in close collaboration with the marketing and sales department.

        RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Act as the point of contact and provide support to the sales teams for existing and new contracts.
        • Provide legal support by drafting and reviewing legal corporate and commercial documentation, including financing and securities documents.
        • Monitor the contract lifecycle to ensure that all contracts are up to date with the latest terms and conditions.
        • Interpret, clarify, and ensure compliance with general contract terms.
        • Ensure that transportation obligations, costs, and risks are determined and supportable.
        • Provide support to General Counsel concerning reporting requirements used in agreements to ensure they are supportable and accurate.
        • Lead, support, and coordinate corrective action with other functional teams to deliver solutions according to the needs and objectives of the customer.
        • Ensure commercial terms and conditions are met to mitigate business risks and maximize financial objectives and provide policy recommendations to General Counsel.
        • Lead large proposal activities for the Sales department.
        • Review and negotiate significant contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions.
        • Prepare, draft, and negotiate various commercial agreements, General Terms Agreements, RFPs, contract Amendments, Service agreements, NDA’s and other letters of intent, as well as partnering arrangements.
        • Conduct pre-award and post-award contract functions.
        • Ensure that all contract documents are entered accurately and timely into the company contract database (including archives).
        • Maintain hard copy files and provide exception reports to highlight risk and non-standard clauses.
        • Manage documents and information relating to the company’s Patent and Trademark portfolio, as well as coordinate patent files docketing & provide reminders to all concerned.
        • Open, build, & update IP databases to generate reports and analysis.
        • Prepare documents for filing with patent agents in Canada, USA, Europe, and PCT.
        • Prepare IP reports for the dissemination of IP portfolio.
        • Report and provide general litigation support.
        • Draft resolutions of the board and assist in the maintenance of the minutes’ book.
        • Participate in contract negotiations.
        • Prepare and review letters of credit (L/C), including the review of L/C Draft before acceptance.

        SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

        • Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent field (law degree strong asset);
        • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in international business;
        • Experience in the Satellite/Telecommunications business would be a definite strong asset;
        • Experience in RFI/RFP would be a definite strong asset;
        • Bilingual: French and English;
        • Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Russian would be an asset.
