FPGA Designer

Responsibilities

  • Develop design specifications based on project requirements
  • Support in development of real-time embedded FPGA system using VHDL/Verilog
  • Analyze risk factors involved in system development activities
  • Define working parameters and output and input processes for system
  • Perform system verification and validation to ensure efficiency, reliability and computability
  • Identify system deficiencies and provide corrective actions
  • Implement test strategies for top level and module level test environments
  • Verify system designs are in compliance with performance and functional requirements
  • Ensure to complete design and development tasks with allotted timelines
  • System design limited to FPGA portion, and analyses to ensure compliance to requirements
  • VHDL/Verilog coding and ModelSim Simulation
  • Review and/or generate Design Documentation
  • Limited support for the architecture definition of the DSP implementation using FPGA
  • Support the verification of the DSP algorithms implemented in the FPGA, unit-level and system-level validatio

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Theoretical and practical understanding of the digital communication, demodulators, filtering, modulation and coding theory, A/D and D/A conversion, etc
  • Knowledgeable in the DSP techniques applied in the development of algorithms for stream aggregation, multiplex and de-multiplex.
  • Exposure to FPGA design and verification, FFT in the context of Digital Receivers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
