Hardware Manager
SpaceBridge Inc. is seeking a dynamic candidate for the role of Hardware Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and directs all aspects of hardware engineering activities
- Manage the PDR and CDR processes and assists the SSR
- Lead team during prototype phase and development of product
- Create a complete project schedule and planning documentation, including effort estimates, resource requirements and costing
- Lead project execution according to the approved project plan and schedule
- Liaise with external stakeholders and suppliers
- Provide input on strategic decisions
- Ensure all hardware engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with established policies and objectives
- Work with other teams to coordinate project dependencies
- Review and approve testing and QA procedures
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Maintain project documentation over the life of project
- Evolve project management process to ensure efficient project lifecycle
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in Hardware Design
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware management (mechanical, electrical, firmware)
- Must have experience with Cadence Design Systems, OrCAD Design Capture and Allegro Board Design
- Familiar with modern technologies of communications systems
- Knowledge of high-speed circuit design or the theoretical principle applicable to high-speed design
- Experience with Gigabit switch / router circuits MAC and PHY using SGMII interfaces
- Basic knowledge of Digital Receivers and Digital Modulators
- Basic principles of high–speed Printed Circuit Board design, placement, routing, and controlled impedance
- Basic MATLAB, Simulink, and basic Spice knowledge is desirable
- Basic understanding of power circuits design, ADC and DAC circuits, some RF design.
- Programmable Logic design flow knowledge, FPGA & CPLD, hardware approach; firmware approach is a bonus
- Basic knowledge of Schematics Capture and PCB design tools
- Ability to plan and work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, tight deadlines
- Experience developing formal project deliverables including reports, charts, status updates, executive summaries, and presentations
- Understanding of software development and dependencies in relation to hardware delivery
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
