MESH Networks

In addition, for highly-meshed networks, the SpaceBridge U7400-M Mesh VSAT and HUB gateway products for military use have been designed to ensure minimum latency and the Highest Quality of Service (QoS). Automatic Beam Switching for Maritime

Deployed vessels can navigate across satellite beam coverage, which requires that traffic switched from one beam to another seamlessly. Therefore, SpaceBridge’s system naturally supports Automatic Beam Switching (ABS) to allow the transfer of traffic from one satellite beam to the next or between two different satellites’ coverage as a ship passes through multiple footprints.

In addition, new opportunities to exploit Ka-Band High Throughput Satellite (HTS) low-latency Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) and Low Earth Orbit satellite (LEO) systems promise much greater bandwidth links to seaborne war-fighters and naval information warfare systems in the future and at a much lower cost per megabit. Moreover, as Ku-Band and Ka-Band satellite resources, with narrower beams, are leveraged on HTS systems, Automatic Beam Switching may grow significantly.
